Read previewIf you thought rap's latest all-out brawl couldn't get any more convoluted, enter Taylor Swift, Snoop Dogg, and Tupac Shakur. On Friday, an embattled Drake released "Taylor Made," his second diss track in response to Kendrick Lamar, which mentions the "Fortnight" singer and uses what sounds like an AI-generated Shakur and Snoop Dogg to try to humble Lamar. AdvertisementThe fake Tupac gives Lamar advice on how to properly diss Drake by referencing rumors about the Canadian rapper "liking young girls." The actual human Snoop Dogg humorously responded to the verse in an Instagram video Friday evening. Representatives for Swift, Snoop Dogg, Drake, and Lamar, and a lawyer for Shakur's estate did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Business Insider.

There are no books actually on the night stand — just a clock, lamp and photo of my daughters. But beside it is a wobbly pile of 21 volumes (I just counted), and a smaller tower of almost as many again. Each summer I rent a house in a village in the foothills of the White Mountains in Crete. There is one bougainvillea-shaded taverna, which shares the village square with a tiny Byzantine chapel, decorated with magnificent 14th-century frescoes. I sent Alice fan mail to say so, and we ended up on the phone for an hour talking about medieval beards.

For wardens running bigger and fuller prisons, letting in people and technology was one more avoidable security risk. The racial prejudice that underpinned the War on Drugs infected how a lot of prison music was perceived. Throughout the 1990s, a rising victims’ rights movement framed any creativity behind bars as a moral affront to crime survivors. Much of society lost interest in hearing the voices of people inside prisons, but they didn’t stop creating and often they used music as a form of resistance. There are hopeful signs that our prison system could return to seeing music as a way to maintain hope inside — and prepare society to accept the people they’re going to release.

The company is using its editorial influence on TikTok, Resso, and CapCut to promote SoundOn songs. Would it eventually roll out a standalone music streaming service, as a May 2022 trademark filing from its parent company ByteDance suggested? The company is now offering editorial placements to some SoundOn artists across TikTok, ByteDance's music streaming app Resso, and its video-editing app CapCut. These placements, which include being featured in high-traffic playlists, offer SoundOn users a unique path to being discovered. TikTok's parent ByteDance previously sought to hire for a similar A&R role in Jakarta, Music Business Worldwide reported in May.

Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), most of which are tied to index funds, are continuing to rake in money.
